The next hobbit movie

I'm sure you've seen or at least heard of the new hobbit movie franchise which I am particularly excited about. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to see the movie yet, but I have a little piece of news about the NEXT hobbit movie of which there is supposed to be three. Legolas is making a reappearance (more like a pre-appearance) In the next hobbit movie, despite his absence from the actual book. Honestly I don't mind him being there, I mean elves live a long time, right? who knows how long Legolas has been around.

Alien vs Predator...3???

Ok, so despite all of the negative feedback and inevitable criticism of my opinions on the subject, I will say: I really have enjoyed the AvP franchise so far. yes, some acting was mediocre, yes, the story is overused; however, the special effects, blood and gore and complete grotesque scenes really gets my blood pumping. and to be honest, the storyline is not bad, especially when you consider 90% of the sci-fi movies they play on tv that kindergardeners could write better. seriously, I've heard some great stories from kindergardeners.all joking aside, the AvP series so far is entertaining, and that, my friends, is the purpose of "entertainment" now, onto the main event! a website called "www.shocktillyoudrop.com" posted this: “An anonymous source over at 20th Century Fox got in touch with us over the weekend to relay the news another Aliens vs. Predator sequel is a ‘certainty’ at this point. If you recall, the brothers Strause – who helmed the Christmas release Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem – stated Fox was going to take a ‘wait-and-see’ approach to a third chapter, furthermore, that the story would have to continue in space.” so for all of you sci-fi fans out there, brace yourselves.

Mass effect movie news

So, according to various and unnamed sources, Ive come upon a few bits of info about the (hopefully) upcoming mass effect movie, there is still some controversy as to whether the movie will be based solely on the game or the novels, but from what I gather, It's going to be based on neither. Thats right, apparently an entirely new storyline is being forged by Mark Protosevich, probably best known for writing the screenplays of "I AM LEGEND". the main character, its been decided, will be a male commander shepherd, which I am personally glad to hear. I don't know how exactly they plan to pull off the storyline if its even loosely related to the reaper threat, in one movie, that is, however; i did like I am legend, and look forward to see if they kept true to the source material. One sad piece of news is that seth green (voice and model for joker) will not be portraying joker in the feature film as of now. but as we mourn the absence of our beloved pilot, and continue to rant and rave about the trilogies ending, which left something to be desired, let us celebrate with a bit of exciting, and just released content.

Skyrim has a new mod out for the 360, which Im sure any self-respecting nerd, geek, and gaming enthusiast has heard of: hearthfire! If for some reason you've been hiding under a rock, or atop a mountain for the past few weeks, well, your probably dead if its the first and if its the second, your crazy, winters coming and your gonna freeze up there. this is one of the many videos made by 'nicepeter' on youtube (epic rap battles of history is the name of their videos) that put two different historical characters (fictional and not) together and they have a rap-off to see which one owns the other, in my opinion kirk won this one (obviously) but go check out their videos, this is only the latest, they have made many more that are for the most part pretty hilarious, and despite the obvious clique: epic

So, if you have not already heard, the release date for mass effect 3 has been pushed back to early 2012, bummer for the impatient gamers, but hey, if they've got some kinks they need to work out, i don't want to see the game till its really READY to be released. In other news...skyrim collectors edition pic to the right! I know your thinking "why have i not pre-ordered this?!" i mean, an artbook, a behind the scenes on the making of skyrim, a cloth map and a dragon statue with dragon language on it, plus the game sounds pretty desirable right? but heres the catch: $150, thats right, something you could use to buy 15 really crappy xbox games, 7 platinum edition games, 2 and a half skyrim games or this expansive espresso machine:  http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/ea4e/ (which is kindof ridiculous but you get the point) I think bethesda is stretching it just a bit with the price of this collectors edition, tell you what bethesda, bring it down to 100 and you've got a deal. in other OTHER news, talks about DR3 have been going on at PAX. um, Im not sure if i should be excited or scared, after what they did to DR2, i sure hope that they learned their lesson and will decide to make it WAY more like the first one, which was amazing, and i don't use that word lightly when it comes to games. if you can actually get me to sit there and play through a game twice, it has to be something special. let me know what you think about talks for a new dragon age. oh by the way, bioware, WTH happened to morrigan?!? we want to know!!!

its been awhile...

Ok, so its been awhile since my last post, I was busy with moving then vacationing and all sorts of different things. but fortunately, along the way i've discovered some new things: the ps3 security sucks, as im sure you know already.  Dubstep is amazing (don't know what it is? listen to the first video below) also, mass effect 3 has released a lot of game footage, and, surprisingly enough, they managed to make the game more desirable than ever, they tweaked the combat quite a bit to allow you to use your omni-tool as a more "direct" weapon, and you will be able to customize your guns as well. can they make it any more awesome? (video above) and if you haven't already seen all the footage of skyrim they've released, heres a taste (second video below) i needn't say anymore, other than it is going to be the most epic game of its time, mark my words. finally, summer is gone and fall is coming, and this is sure to be a good year for gaming, so hold onto your seats gamers...unless you play while laying down.
